The Story
of Awakening Hearts for Africa Greerting Cards
The
idea for these greeting cards began with doodling tiny African figures several
years ago.
Recently, when visiting Goldenstein Gallery where my work is shown, I saw
the book
Abataka by Mary Fisher and was deeply moved by her words "What
about the children?"
I then knew that my doodlings had a greater purpose...
I
painted two cards which soon became ten. Each card includes a prayer on the
back
which is my prayer for the children. A heart is represented in each design
as a reminder
of our "one heart". My desire now is to share the cards with all
those of similar heart
so they may serve to open other's hearts for Africa.
